Let the Jessamine County Fire District help make your home a safer place by free of charge home saftey surveys! Firefighters will visit your home to perform a walk through with you, conduct a saftey survey, provide you with fire prevention tips, and help your family create a home emergency evacuation plan. Contact Assistant Chief Jason Walton Monday Thru Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm at Jessamine Fire District Station #1 by phone 859 885-9221 or email jwalton@jessaminefire.com to set up a home safety visit. Chief Walton will determine if the guidelines are met and determine if you lie within the jurisdiction of the Jessamine County Fire District.
To reduce the loss of life and property in Jessamine County, the Jessamine County Fire District will install residental smoke detectors in the Fire District free of charge. The request for service shall be received through the program sponsoring agency which is the Nicholasville Fire Department. Contact Gina at the Nicholasville Fire Department at 859 885-5505 Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm and the NFD will screen requests for compliance with the program guidelines and determine if you lie within the jurisdiction of the Jessamine County Fire District. Before calling make sure that you are the owner of the residence. All detectors will be installed according to NFPA 72, NFPA 101 and manufactures installation instructions.
